Pedagogy: The Excavating History Class at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago > Jane Addams Hull House Museum Excavation History 2010

For the 2010 edition of Excavating History I directed and organized research and an exhibition exploring the complex histories informing the Jane Addams Hull House Museum. Through this project we aim to mine the past, connect the past to the present, and build on the legacy of Jane Addams and the history of her work at the Hull House. Artworks include sculpture, installation, fiber, performance, video, and sound, and animation, and addressed such issues as immigration, labor, love, public health and the private life of a very public woman
