Chiara Galimberti, an immigrant herself, made large canvas silhouettes based on historic photos of immigrants served by Hull House, which she hand-embroidered with quotes from oral histories about contemporary immigration. These witnesses' gave voice to the immigrant experience, documenting their historic contributions as well as the ongoing struggles newcomers continue to face.
