What Color is the Sea? What Color is the Sky?

The studio is located on the main street, across from the pier. Each day I put out a sandwich board with the question "What Color is the Sea? What Color is the Sky?" emblazoned across the top, along with an assortment of hundreds of color samples, pencils and clips.
I asked people to stop, look, consider, and choose a color they thought matched whichever part of the sea or sky they were drawn to. They noted the day and time and any other information clipped the color to the board.
