At the Chicago Art Department. Both the Chicago and Braddock segments of the exhibition mined similar media and ideas, layering language and material with ideas about community and labor.
This sculpture uses water from the Chicago river, pipe, iron filings and metal etched with words that share a prefix meaning ‘together’ the installation combines material (metal, water, rust) and written language so their meanings can resonate.
