The Sweet By-and-By
The "stem cells" atop the laboratory glass are cast from the quasi-mystical material of beeswax (which can be endlessly re-melted). The beakers are filled with honey (the only food which never spoils).
A heating element built into the installation keeps the wax just at the point of melting, and warms the honey, releasing a delicious scent. Sun from a nearby window strikes and creates a golden glow. Thus, a boring exhibition about an important topic is infused with light and perfumed with sweetness.
