The Migrant Object project began with research into the categories and types of
3-D printable files made available by different museums. Using prints made from these files, I create table-top tableaux or assemblages, installed atop hand drawn mind-maps and traces of connections.
They envision the objects as a cast of characters, placing the objects in new and changing relation to each other, riffing, re-creating and undermining traditional categorizations and power relationships, as well as discovering surprising juxtapositions and humorous, satirical, or critical relationships.
