Like the paintings in my project "What Color is the Sea" (also in portfolios) the colors in the paintings in "All the Water..." were derived from a conversations with people, who chose from an array of paint swatches to reflect their perceptions of the color of the water. I asked people to stop, look, consider, and choose a color. They noted the day and time and any other information. Each column reflects one day, and is painted from the cumulative color suggestions.
