The Portland Museum has a significant silver collection. I imagined this regal Queen Anne pitcher presiding over expensive dinner parties, and used it as a vehicle to examine the ideas of privilege and ostentatious display (also pertinent to museum objects), but also sensuality and connectedness to life that domestic objects embody.
