Pfister created porcelain replacements to 'fix' damage within the house. The work was inspired by Literary History. The replacements are done in orange and meant to be obvious edits, just as editorial text would be in brackets or footnotes.
Porcelain, a material known for its durability and fragility, recognize the temporality of both the object and the repair.
